The Role

Crosstown Doughnuts is an artisan bakery based in Vauxhall, SW8 that specialises in sourdough doughnuts. We are seven years old and have 12 stores open across London. We also sell in Londons best markets on the weekend and have a strong online side to our business. Our select group of wholesale accounts include Harrods, Whole Food Markets & Planet Organic.

We are looking for a Senior Baker to join our team on the dough side of the bakery. It will be a strong attribute if this candidate has experience in working with sourdough products. This position will work with our Head of Bakery & Production and this position is expected to lead towards a management position in the near future for the right candidate.

As well as the dough side of the bakery we are looking for a candidate that also has some interest in the pastry aspect of the bakery.

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates management capabilities and is used to assisting in training and managing staff. The person will be expected to assist with some of the administration side of the bakery as well as the compliance elements that all food businesses must contend with.

We would expect this position to be filled by someone who has completed a formal bakery training qualification and has at least 5 – 7 years experience.
