Crosstown x El Rayo Tequila Margarita doughnut
We’ve teamed up with El Rayo Tequila to relaunch the Yuzu Margarita & Lime doughnut with a fresh twist.
El Rayo’s 100% Agave Plata Tequila, is a clean and balanced Tequila blanco, with notes of pineapple, black pepper, and wild flowers. Which can now be found in the custard and glaze of the Yuzu Margarita & Lime doughnut.
Yuzu Margarita & Lime (ve) – Citrusy yuzu has been combined with El Rayo 100% Agave Plata Tequila to create a margarita inspired custard that packs a punch, topped with an El Rayo 100% Agave Plata Tequila, lime, and basil glaze, then finished with a strip of candied lemon.
About El Rayo Tequila
Founded 2019, El Rayo Tequila takes its name from Mexican folklore, which tells of the great bolt of lightning – El Rayo –striking the blue agave in the hills near Tequila. When a local campesino saw the burning glow in the distance, he followed it until he discovered the cooked agave and Tequila was born.
El Rayo aims to embrace the culture and history of Tequila. Their flavours are clean, vibrant, and all naturally come from Mexico’s slow grown blue agave. They don’t use any other flavours or additives. They don’t need to. It’s just water and the best blue agave.
